In pulmonology, allergy or immunology, our division attendings are primary investigators on numerous industry trials.
The Memorial Care Research Administration works closely with our group to provide access to important clinical trials in the field to patients locally and beyond. For a list of our current clinical trials, please use our link.
With a strong relationship at the level of foundations and the pharmaceutical industry, our attending physicians have regularly received funding for investigator initiated studies.
In conjunction with our fellowship trainees, the opportunity to design unique trials from inception is a hallmark of our division. Importantly, our relationship with the Memorial Care Foundation is unique. Many of our initial and pilot studies receive funding from this source. As partners, our division regularly drives charity and funding toward the Memorial Care Foundation. In return, the Foundation has been supporting well over 100 projects over the last three decades
Our division is privileged to have a distinct collaboration with a nonprofit research center founded by Dr. Randhawa. The nonprofit, TPIRC, houses a basic and translational research lab on campus.
Truly distinct, this laboratory and its laboratory director, Dr. Nathan Marsteller, maintain the full spectrum of basic and translational research modalities. From DNA and molecular techniques to cell culture and flow cytometry, the opportunities to produce meaningful research in our field are limitless
